Opole University spares no effort to provide high quality in mobility, which lies at the foundations of the European Higher Education Area. One of the priorities here is to make information on the Programme easily available and to secure its undisturbed flow. In order to accomplish this, the University has opened a website devoted to the ERASMUS Programme.
Curricula of particular study courses are available on the website and, individually, at respective Dean’s offices.
Coordinators provide each outgoing student with all necessary practical tips and information on formal procedures. Students receive a brochure, which is prepared by the University, containing all useful information on the partner academic centre, insurance, accommodation, etc.
The University recognises certificates of studies completed abroad, taking into consideration the Learning Agreement approved of prior to the leave and subsequently realised, as well as ECTS points obtained.
The University websites include all the necessary information in English, designed for incoming students. Foreign students are taken care of by Coordinators and students, who provide the former with important information and practical advice. Integration meetings are organized for students of particular majors and for the whole University.
The University secures to all foreign students availability of services rendered to students on equal terms with their Polish counterparts (among others, the guaranteed accommodation at students’ halls of residence).
Opole University organises, at the beginning of each academic year, a course of the Polish language for foreigners. It is planned, as much as possibilities allow, to offer a course of Polish during the academic year, as well.
The University recognises the need for the staff mobility. Cooperation with partners is fully supported, the more so if it yields new contacts which result in signing agreements and conducting didactic classes on the spot or at a Partner Centre.

Opole University undertakes a series of activities with a view to securing the highest quality of student placements. Partners are selected so that the specific nature of their activities should closely correspond to the given major. Before sending students, the University conducts a recruitment procedure. Students are given information on he programme and goals of the internship, specific character of the host centre, principles of evaluation, etc.
In order to secure an appropriate course of placements, the University Coordinators maintain a close contact with Partners before and during internships.
Taking into account the studies major and specific character of the Partner Institution, Opole University Coordinators, together with the foreign Partners, prepare a programme of internship. The Coordinators draw official agreements for the interns, who are obliged realise the content of the programme according to the accepted schedule.
During their preparatory visits, the Coordinators become directly acquainted with the specific character of the host Institution, discuss aims, assumptions, schedules and programme of the placements. Directly before the students’ departure, the sides jointly agree on details concerning placements, their realisation and settlement.
Monitoring of the placements will be carried out during the whole period. Reports on the course of placements will be made. On the completion of their practical training students fill in a questionnaire relating to evaluation of the stay. Students, whose performance during internship is evaluated in a positive way by the host side, will receive letters of recommendation.
Placements are regarded as an element of life-long education and professional training, which allows connecting theory with practice.
Opole University supports the idea of sending its students to do their placements at non-academic institutions abroad. Actions will be undertaken to have this kind of placements recognised within the curricula.
